In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Week, East High’s Student Council sold “We’re Tackling Cancer” t-shirts this week. The Student Council sold over 600 of the pink shirts. That means that East students donated at least $1,800 to the cause.
“We didn’t realize how well it would go over,” said Student Council member Hanna Jenkins. “It was really cool to see how many students and staff supported the cause.”

Since 1990, when the United States soccer team first participated in the FIFA World Cup, the team has passed the quarterfinals only once, 2002. In the 2006 World Cup the team had a very disappointing performance, eliminated early in group play, finishing with a tournament record of 2-6.
