Every corner you turned, someone was dressed as different animal. We saw a lot of zebra and leopard print, especially on the girls. A few students even put on a full animal costume. Not a lot of seniors dressed up on animal day because they had their senior group pictures. A lot of students are looking forward the last couple days of spirit week. Wednesday is …

“SHOS is definitely helpful,” says DeWayne Taylor from Student Ambassadors.
Here at Southwest, Student Ambassadors and other clubs at Southwest have joined together to start a program called SHOS or Silver Hawks Helping Other Silver Hawks. It is in its second year.
This program is geared towards helping freshmen transition into high school smoothly. The freshmen are able to receive a sort of “how to” manual of everything at Southwest and it helps build relationships with the upperclassmen.
Every Tuesday after school during term one, the whole freshman class and the …

This year is a special year for the students and staff of Lincoln Southwest. It is the 10-year anniversary of our school, and as Principal Rob Slauson said, “Year 10, oh the places we’ve been.”
School is now back in session and some of us were dreading the return. But back to school means many things. For example it means learning new things, seeing your friends everyday and cheering on your school.
This year school events crept up on us. The first pep rally has already taken place on the …
