Many students help with North Star’s school spirit by putting up posters and decorating hallways during Spirit Week, including our very own Superfan of the month, Arijana Sljivo (12).

Rene Hosek and other SuperFan club members nominated Sljivo as co-president of the SuperFan club.

“She comes to all SuperFan Club meetings and is always coming up with new ideas and themes,” Hosek said. “Once we pick a theme, she makes sure all the posters are posted and makes sure all the cheerleaders know. She’s like our SuperFan/cheerleader liaison.”

Sljivo, who is also in Student Council, says that she’s honored to be seen as a SuperFan. As co-president of the SuperFan club, Sljivo said, “We try to get people more involved in student activities, come to games, and show support.” Being a cheerleader helps with getting other students involved, Sljivo said.

“I want students to get more involved and be more supportive,” says Sljivo. “Last year’s SuperFan helped with the tradition and this year we want to keep the tradition going and bring even more to the table. Let’s keep it up North Star.”
