Although I was really excited to see them and get the chance to meet Ben J, I was disappointed with the concert overall. For one thing, The New Boyz only performed for an hour, disappointing many of their fans.
“I expected a lot more,” senior …

It’s a little known fact that Festivus is real holiday. Festivus is a nondenominational holiday that’s traditionally celebrated on December 23rd. The origin of the holiday stems from a man’s refusal to buy into the increased commercialism of the December holiday season.
Dan O’Keefe, the father of Daniel O’Keefe, a writer on the hit show Seinfeld, discovered the holiday in a book in 1966 that outlines obscure holidays. The father, Dan O’Keefe, first celebrated it in February, 1966, the anniversary of he and his wife’s first date. There …

The line outside of the South Building kept increasing in size as students of Lincoln High got in line, patiently waiting to dance the night away. At the front door students had to show their IDs to prove that they were Lincoln High students, and then once inside, the night began.
Before Homecoming even started there was a debate about whether or not the lights should be on during the dance. In past years inappropriate dancing and grinding has caused some problems. If the lights were on it …

When I drive to school, I want to listen to music. I don’t want to hear about what Matt McKay thinks of Lindsey Lohan’s latest fiasco. I just want to find energy to get me excited about starting school at 6:45 A.M. Let me listen to “Tik Tok” or “I Gotta Feeling!”
Two juniors from Lincoln High agree with me and decided to take charge with a literal charge of wattage. Radio wattage, that is. Marya Case-Ruchala and Phalin Strong, juniors from Lincoln High and the Arts & …

In 1985, Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie took pen to paper, as Quincy Jones took to the boards. The reason for the amalgamation of star power: relief for those affected by the then-recent famine in Ethiopia. For all it’s ridiculous celebrity ego-stroking, it did eventually raise $51.2 …
