Over the summer I came across an interesting, and somewhat frightening find. A robot that can consume biomass, have it’s own thought process, and even potentially carry its own weapons! This may sound like something straight out of a science-fiction novel, but according to Robotic Technology Incorporated (RTI), it isn’t. Of course the intentions of this robot are mostly harmless, but that doesn’t mean the potential for evil isn’t there. While the robot is supposed to be “vegetarian” (meaning it’s biomass engine will only be programmed to run …

This summer has been none too kind to musical pioneers. And on Saturday, September 19th, only a short few days before autumn took hold, Anthony Williams b.k.a. DJ Roc Raida of DJ collective the X-Men, passed away at 37.
To turntablists both aspiring and established, Grandmaster Roc Raida was an elite figure, and arguably a legend. Although he was well known for his wizardry on the tables as well as his on-record output, (Crossfaderz Mixtape Series, scratches on Hip Hop anthems such as O.C.’s “Time’s Up”, etc.), his main …

Lynda Graham-Rowe, a French teacher here at LHS, traveled to France over the summer break. She was there for three weeks in July to visit her family. She had not seen this part of her family in ten years. While Graham-Rowe was there, she visited Paris, Chartres, Besançon, and Port-Blanc (in Bretague). She grew up in Port-Blanc and said, “It makes me feel at home.”
She planned a longer trip this time so she could do more activities. While abroad, she enjoyed seeing her family, …

Lincoln High school students hopefully have noticed that there is an updated and almost new library in the center of the school. What goes unnoticed are the small details and accents that people who care about the library have helped to include.
Much of the furniture has made a comeback including the red and black chairs and the wood tables and chairs from the 1970’s. Thankfully the media specialists are making sure that we don’t have to sit on Brady Bunch chairs anymore. Also in the returning lineup …
